February 2007 - The Thai government cracks down on illegal immigrants from Cambodia.
The group of Cambodian saints in the Bangkok area had grown to nearly 100. Many were political or religious refugees from Cambodia. By the end of the crack-down 75% of the Cambodian members had been deported back to Cambodia to face an uncertain future.
