November 2023 Status Update on the Renovation of Temple Square

The Northwest Garden is Complete
The northwest portion of temple square is complete. That area that used to contain the North Visitor Center, is now principally a garden area with a several pavillions. This allows visitors to sit down and admire temple square. There is one two story buillding. The bottom floor contains large restrooms for visitors.

A single tower crane remains in the Garden Area. This may prevent the use of the area for Christmas.

The lower portion of the tower elevators (Southwest Corner). This elevator was later moved the east side justs south of center.
Lots of rebar inside the new Foundation Wall. Rebar is used to provide tensil strength to concrete.

The west portion of the Assembly Hall before it and the area around it were refurbished.
The Plaza on Office Square sits between the Church Administration Building and the Church Office Tower. From the East it offers a view of the East Side of the SL Temple
Back side of the Church Administration Building on Office Square. Over ninety flag poles are placead around the outside of the oval between the two buildings. Flags of the world fly from these poles from mid Spring to mid fall. DO NOT attempt to visit this building UNLESS you have an appointment with an Apostle.
