June 14, 2008 - Jared announced his engagement to Melissa Sharp. The couple plans a wedding in October 2008.
June 11, 2008 - Michael returned home after serving two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Santa Rosa mission.
Elder Haslam Comes Home
March 28, 2008 - Angela has been coaching Special Olympics basketball and volleyball teams in Logan during this school year. Her volleyball team pictured below took the gold medal in competition in Salt Lake City.
March 8-15, 2008 - Angela and a group of students from Utah State University traveled to New York City for a week of service projects and sight-seeing. A few of her pitcutes are found below:

February 25-28, 2008 - Reed attended the Health Information Management Systems Society (HiMMS) 2008 Convention and Exhibition in Orlando Florida. He helped with the Northrop Grumman exhibit on Health Information Networking.
A friend from Thailand who has worked several years at Sea World Orlando provided a free pass to enjoy most of a day at Sea World.

February 3, 2008 - Robert was called as Elder's Quorum President in the Salt Lake University 6th Ward.
January 18, 2008 - theHaslams.com is now powered by Novell Suse Linux Enterprise Server. We say "goodbye" to Novell NetWare that has powered the site since 1998.
January 17, 2008 - Angela's USU Country Swing Dance Club performed during half time of the Boise State vs. Utah State basketball game in Logan, Utah. See the photographs from the event below.

October 28, 2007 - "The Sunday Funnies" - The Midvalley 5th Ward recently got a new bishop. I am grateful that I was not called upon to fill that role. Someone in the neighborhood however decided to modify one of my campaign signs. It is always nice to be thought of.
October 18, 2007 - Amanda Westberg marries Brent P. Randall

Amanda Westberg daughter of Sherry's youngest sibling Les Westberg married Brent P. Randall at the Salt Lake Temple. Both are students at Utah State University.

August 25, 2007 - A Visit to Ensign Peak - A few members of the Midvalley 5th Ward took an early morning hike to Ensign Peak, just north of downtown Salt Lake City. For more photographs, see Engisn Peak Photos.

July 16, 2007 - Reed declares his candidacy for Sandy City Council from the 2nd district. His opponent has been elected in each of the last five elections in the district (that means he has served for nearly 20 years). .
May 4, 2007 - Angela completes her 2nd year at Utah State University and Jared completes his 2nd year at Salt Lake Community College.
April 17, 2007 - Michael is assigned as a zone leader in the Davis/Woodland zone.
January 5, 2007 - Elder Haslam is "Emergency Transferred" to be the peacemaker and resolve a problem where 2 Elders in his district refused to work together. He is now in Clearlake, California.
