Reed's View on the Politics of the Day

Worst Politicians in Utah History (Since 1972 when Reed was first able to vote)

(1) Deedee Coridini - all she ever cared about was personal fame and fortune. Never cared about Salt Lake City only about the fame and fortune being mayor could bring her.

(2) Rocky Anderson - all he ever cared about was dividing the city between Mormons and non-Mormons.  His flag wave at the closing ceremonies needed more practice; but it suited well his political style - change your view minute by minute depending on who you are talking to.  His hatred of Mormons makes his pleas for building unity in the community nothing more that a sham.

(3) Wayne Owens - he never made any sense. His legacy - gray wolves killing farm animals all over the west.

(4) Jan Graham - her rant on the "Clinton Affair" went well beyond the stupidest thing ever said or done by a politician in Utah. Wanted to spend ALL of the Tobacco Settlement money on "prevention".

(5) Alan Howe - Took a wrong turn and ended up in the garbage heap.

(6) Mark Shurtleff - has no idea what the Attorney General is responsible for. Struggles to find a reason to be "in the news". Thinks "Hate Crimes" or "Polygamy" is his legacy. I think many republicans would like to see him walk away. Absolutely UNQUALIFIED to be Attorney General of Utah.

(7) Karen Shepherd - always out of touch with reality.

(8) Enid Green - Wasted her Novell money on a bad husband and 2 years in Washington.

(9) Tom Dolan - Refuses to speak to anyone who is not on the city council. Really does nothing useful whatsoever besides play golf.  That's useful because it keeps him out of the mayor's office!

Utah - still looking for a good Attorney General after all these years! Utah can do better!

Hate Crimes Legislation

One of the dumbest and most misguided ideas to come along in years.  When we believe in liberty and justice for all WHY oh WHY do we need a law that creates specially protected classes of people? Every crime is a hate crime, they are never committed out of love. How come "rich people" are not protected by the proposed law? Some people hate rich people! How about poor people are they also "protected"?  

Rocky has no Spine

Rocky believes in "gay marriage" just like the mayor of San Francisco.  So why does he not have the guts to issue marriage licenses to gays in Salt Lake City hall? Or fight against the 2004 Ballot amendment on marriage?
